A few years ago the architect Carlo Cappellotto visited the production spaces of a costumer whose company operated in the composite materials sector. It was there that he found himself fascinated by the carbon thread and his application. The idea of transferring this process to forniture and therefore to architecture was almost instantaneous, and so it was done.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was the day Karbony was born and that black thread became a pencil stroke to create new forniture. Experimenting with the thread and its potential small design architecture began to take shape: tables, chairs, stools, dividers, decorations, lamps.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, after years of Research and Development, we are ready to call ourselves the pioneers of what hopefully will become a small revolution in the design sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karbony is the result of an unprecedent encounter between matter, design and architecture; the first Italian brand of forniture made out carbon fiber.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will present our first collection, SHADOW, at Milano Design Week 2023. A silent creation that goes beyond the product without moving away from it. Karbony\u2019s shadow comes to life, it projects itself onto the surrounding space and becomes three-dimensional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Superdesign Show 2023<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

At Superdesign Show, in the spaces of Superstudio Pi\u00f9 in via Tortona 27, you’ll find us in the \u201cStrani ma belli<\/em>\u201d section, Stand 19G. The Show of the shadow installation will present the Arianna table, made out a single thread that weaves the structure and binds the base to the top seamlessly; the Piuma chair, 520 grams of stretched and wove thread to sit on; the Planetario suspension lamp which will project all the magic of the shadows onto the surrounding space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salone del Mobile \/ Euroluce 2023<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Planetario will also be on display at the OLEV space at Salone del Mobile, Pavilion 9, Stand 127. Born from an infinite system of orbits that envelops the roundness of its shape in a uniform curvilinear motion, Planetario is a body shining with is own light.<\/p>\n<\/div>

D.O.S. Design Week 2023<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Mortisia armchair will be te protagonist at Arca Milano in via Rimini 38, as part of the D.O.S. Design Week.
Mortisia has an imperial personality with an evocative aesthetic, but you will feel welcomed and protected inside its lightness.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We look forward to seeing you in Milan to discover this project, the first and only of its kind, with multiple technical and creative potential. Karbony has endless applications and its thread is at the service of the creativity of planners, architects and designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
